Lloyds Banking Group appoints Martyn Atkinson as CIO, consumer relationships & mass affluent
Martyn Atkinson has joined UK banking heavyweight Lloyds Banking Group as chief information officer (CIO), consumer relationships and mass affluent.

Atkinson had previously worked at the bank as programme director over a decade ago.
“I am beyond excited to have returned to a business with a clear and unwavering purpose and to work with super talented people that are customer obsessed,” he comments on his new role on LinkedIn.
He moves from Close Brothers, a UK-based merchant banking group, where he was chief operating officer (COO) for four years.
Prior to that, he spent three years at Metro Bank, most recently as CIO; and before that he was head of transformation at Nationwide Building Society.
