Paytech Highline names Rebecca Mowat director of partnerships
Highline Technologies, a paytech that specialises in payroll-linked lending and bill pay, has named Rebecca Mowat as director of partnerships.
Mowat brings more than 20 years’ worth of experience in international trade and business to Highline, the firm says.
Prior to joining Highline, Mowat worked as a US liaison for the UK in international trade development and foreign direct investment arenas, including the Department for International Trade and UK Trade & Investment.
In her new role, Mowat will leverage her US and international connections to “help lead and accelerate” Highline’s partnership growth strategy, with a focus on relationships between payroll providers and lenders.
Mowat says she will be using her industry experience and connections to expand Highline’s roster of partners and support its growth trajectory.
Highline CEO and co-founder Geoff Brown says Mowat’s “in-depth knowledge, experience and relationships” will be “invaluable” as Highline looks to grow its strategic partnerships and expand credit accessibility.
Founded in 2020 in Dallas Fort-Worth, Highline’s payments platform allows consumers to automate bill payments directly from their paycheck. It also extends payroll-linked lending to any asset class, “where historically it was limited to only personal loans”, the start-up says.
