AccesBanque partners Compass Plus Technologies for ATM acquiring and card management
Madagascar’s AccesBanque has migrated its ATM acquiring and card management businesses to Compass Plus Technologies’ processing centre.
The bank says the migration will allow it to expand its business offering and quickly launch new products and services. Through the partnership, AccesBanque plans to launch a new credit card business, implement point-of-sale (POS) acquiring services and become certified with Visa.
AccesBanque provides financial services in Madagascar built to broaden financial inclusion among MSMEs (micro-entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises).
In order to achieve this aim, the firm says it needed to migrate its card management and ATM acquiring businesses to a “more reliable and technically advanced processor” to allow it to scale.
The project also included the migration of AccesBanque’s Mastercard and UnionPay debit card issuing services, which was completed in under a year.
Compass Plus Technologies executive vice president and Middle East and Africa managing director, Alexey Osipov, says AccesBanque will now be able to bring new products and services to market “quicker than ever”.
AccesBanque CEO Mikhail Velichko adds the migration “has allowed us to further expand our business”.
Founded in 2006, AccesBanque Madagascar is part of AccesHolding Group and is one of the largest commercial banks in the country.
