Canada’s Versapay names Carey O’Connor Kolaja as new CEO
Versapay, an accounts receivable software provider, has appointed Carey O’Connor Kolaja as its new CEO, replacing former CEO Craig O’Neill.
O’Neill, who has been Versapay’s CEO for nearly a decade, is set to move to an advisory role within the firm.
O’Connor Kolaja brings over 25 years of experience in financial services and payments to the role. She most recently served as CEO of AU10TIX, an automated identity intelligence and cyber fraud prevention firm. She also spent time at Citi Fintech as global chief product officer and payments giant PayPal as its vice president of global consumer products.
At Versapay, O’Connor Kolaja will be responsible for leading the company’s strategic direction and its day-to-day operations.
Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Toronto, Versapay offers an automated accounts receivable platform and B2B payment network built to help businesses streamline invoice payment processes and accelerate cash flow.
The company currently boasts more than 8,000 clients and claims an 82% year-over-year increase in software bookings. It also recently acquired DadeSystems to bolster its AI and machine learning cash application capabilities.
Along with establishing partnerships with American Express and Wells Fargo, Versapay has also launched what it claims is the industry’s “only fully-integrated platform” to connect accounts receivable teams with their customers and digitise the entire invoice-to-cash cycle.
