Indonesia’s Bank BTPN taps Surecomp for trade finance solution
Indonesia’s Bank BTPN has tapped trade finance tech specialist Surecomp for its back-office trade finance processing platform Doka.
BTPN, one of the largest privately-owned banks in the archipelago country, is now able to “expedite” the internal processing of its growing trade finance transaction operations in the form of Letters of Credit, documentary collections and trade loans.
The Doka solution has been integrated with the bank’s other trading systems for limits and position management, sanction screening, Swift connection, collateral management and core banking.
Intan Wijaya, head of transaction banking and supply chain at Bank BTPN, says the partnership with Surecomp means “we can future-proof our trade finance business”.
Surecomp’s solution is hosted in the capital Jakarta and was deployed with the support of local Surecomp teams in Asia.
Yaron Hupert, senior vice president of account management at Surecomp, says: “Joining a stronghold of other home-grown Asian banks in Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam and the Philippines, we are looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship with BTPN.”
Bank BTPN serves retail and corporate customers, as well as micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
