Chargeback Gurus appoints board member Tim Tynan as new CEO
Fraud prevention and risk management firm Chargeback Gurus has appointed existing board member Tim Tynan as its new CEO.
Tynan takes over from co-founder Srii Srinivasan, who has taken up a role on the company’s board. The firm’s former president and co-founder Suresh Dakshinamoorthy has also assumed the role of company strategist.
Tynan, who has served on the firm’s board since August 2021, has experience across finance and operational roles within payments, financial services and technology.
He was previously CEO of Bank of America’s merchant services and has held senior leadership roles at IBM and Citigroup, where he ultimately served as managing director and executive officer for the bank’s transaction services division.
Chris Lundquist, executive chair of the board, says Tynan has “decades” of fintech and financial services experience which will be “invaluable” as the firm continues its global expansion.
Chargeback Gurus supports businesses as they look to prevent and reclaim chargebacks, specialising in risk management, chargeback mitigation, fraud prevention and dispute intelligence.
The company claims to have recovered more than $2 billion for its clients since its inception.
