Georgia United Credit Union taps Jack Henry for digital banking platform
Georgia United Credit Union has tapped banking tech heavyweight Jack Henry & Associates for a new digital banking platform.
Launched in October last year, the scalable platform is built on an open-API infrastructure, allowing the credit union to customise features and rollout new products and services at speed.
Georgia United chief information and operations officer Mark Bartholomew says: “Our developers now can easily work on custom solutions that set us apart from the competition and go live with those customised solutions much more easily and efficiently.”
Since launching the platform, the credit union has introduced more than a dozen custom developments which form part of a wider effort to offer self-service options that customers can use to improve their financial health.
Georgia United has also benefited from a more straightforward back-end, a consistent source of data, and increased reliability and stability.
The platform has 88,000 total users and Georgia United claims more than 90% of existing users migrated to the new platform.
Jack Henry digital solutions senior managing director Julie Morlan says: “Georgia United is an example of how open infrastructure can give financial institutions new ways to grow.”
Headquartered in Duluth, Georgia United is ranked as one of the state’s largest credit unions with more than $2 billion in assets and serves more than 150,000 members.
