MoneyGram names Seth Ross as new chief digital officer
US paytech MoneyGram has named Seth Ross as its new chief digital officer to lead the firm’s direct-to-consumer business and global digital strategy.
Ross brings “a wealth of knowledge and experience” to MoneyGram, the firm says. He joins from HR and payroll software firm Ceridian, where he served as general manager of its Dayforce Wallet solution and consumer services.
He also led the development of the company’s on-demand wage access consumer app and played a key part in rolling out the platform into new B2C markets globally.
Ross has also previously served at Green Dot, where he led the firm’s Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) business, and prior to that he held multiple leadership roles at American Express.
MoneyGram CEO Alex Holmes says Ross is a “seasoned leader” with experience building and scaling customer-centric digital offerings, and boasts “significant experience” in tech innovation and embedded financial services.
“As digital transactions now account for over 50% of our money transfer business, this appointment couldn’t come at a more fitting time,” Holmes adds.
