Paysafe names Nicole Carroll as new chief strategy and innovation officer
UK-based payments platform Paysafe has appointed Nicole Carroll as its first chief strategy and innovation officer, effective immediately.
In the newly created role, Carroll will be tasked with developing the firm’s corporate vision and long-term growth strategy, along with leading its product innovation and capital expenditure programmes. She will report directly to Paysafe’s CEO Bruce Lowthers.
Carroll brings more than three decades worth of experience to her new role, having previously worked at Experian as chief product officer for its decision analytics business. Prior to that, she served as a director at Visa, where she was the global head of payment experience and seller solutions.
She has also spent time working at Discover Financial Services, spearheading the firm’s digital transformation efforts, and held leadership roles at Citi Group and Transys, where she worked on the launch of the UK’s Oyster Card.
Lowthers says Carroll brings an understanding of “both evolving customer needs and the potential of new technologies” which will be “invaluable” as Paysafe charts its long-term growth plans.
Paysafe’s other recent hires include Alex Gersh as chief financial officer (CFO) and Rob Gatto as the company’s first chief revenue officer (CRO).
