UAE’s Mbank partners Dgpays for digital wallet offering
UAE-based digital bank Al Maryah Community Bank (Mbank) has partnered with Turkish B2B fintech Dgpays Group to roll out a new digital wallet offering designed to give business owners, entrepreneurs and freelancers in the region the ability to integrate digital payments into their operations.
Mbank says it is aiming to utilise Dgpays’ fintech platform to launch new financial products “fast and at scale” to help businesses offer their customers financial services and enhance customer experience.
“Our goal is to provide businesses with a simple and secure platform that enables them to offer a complete range of financial services to their customers by offering a digital wallet in dirhams to facilitate the electronic payment process for all segments of society, including individuals and companies,” says Mohammed Wassim Khayata, CEO of Mbank.
For Dgpays Group, the partnership is a gateway to expand its business in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
“UAE is becoming the center of international growth for our expansion into the Middle East, Africa, and Asia regions,” says Ahmet Kayhan, regional managing director and board member of Dgpays MEA.
Kayhan adds that this partnership with Mbank “gives us a solid foot in the UAE” as the company looks to build out its B2B fintech business. The firm currently has a presence in Turkey, the UK and the US.
