Heritage and People’s Choice appoints Penny Iverach as head of technology integration
Heritage and People’s Choice, an Australian bank formed from the recent merger of Heritage Bank and People’s Choice Credit Union earlier this year, has appointed Penny Iverach as head of technology integration, a newly created role at the firm.
Iverach joins from the Newcastle Greater Mutual Group, where she led the Greater Bank digital transformation programme. She brings more than two decades of professional experience to her new role, with expertise in technology leadership, digital transformation, major programme delivery and information security.
In her new role, Iverach has been tasked with developing and leading the newly merged organisation’s tech integration roadmap.
“With Heritage Bank and People’s Choice officially merging on 1 March, one of the most important challenges we face now is bringing together the organisations’ technology systems to provide a first–class banking experience for our members and our people,” says Andy Weir, chief information officer for Heritage and People’s Choice.
The merged entity becomes Australia’s leading customer-owned financial institution, with 720,000 members, 1,900 employees, more than $23 billion in assets and 95 branches across South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
It will continue to operate as Heritage and People’s Choice for an interim period until March 2024, after which the entity will assume a fresh brand name.
Big congrats, well deserved Penny!
