Cardplatforms to Develop Payroll Programs with Experian (Feb. 5, 2013)

Experian, an information services company and major credit bureau, has announced it will provide Cardplatforms LLC with its international authentication services to help the prepaid card services provider roll out prepaid cards worldwide. Cardplatforms will incorporate its prepaid card issuance network with Experian’s verification services, Prove-ID and AutoDoc-ID, to launch a payroll and benefits program to maritime shipping firms, according to the companies. Experian will provide personal data verification, fraud screening and authentication of online documents to ensure the funds go to the right individuals.
“The prepaid card market is growing at a rapid rate and while this brings opportunities, particularly for the unbanked or underbanked, it also presents challenges when it comes to compliance . . . for providers,” said Scott Carter, senior vice president, global analytics and fraud and identity solutions, Experian Decision Analytics. “Experian’s verification services simplify compliance and enable organizations like Cardplatforms to maintain the highest regulatory integrity.”
