CO-OP Financial Services to Offer TMG Prepaid Cards (Feb. 28, 2013)
Feb. 28, 2013
As part of a partnership established last year with The Members Group (TMG), a Des Moines, Iowa-based card processing and payment solutions provider, CO-OP Financial Services today announced it will be offering TMG’s reloadable prepaid cards to all of its client credit unions. The TMG reloadable prepaid cards are in addition to the single-load prepaid gift cards CO-OP already offers, according to the announcement.
“The goal of our partnership with TMG is to offer the best products for each client’s unique needs,” said Stan Hollen, president and CEO, CO-OP, a Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.-based credit union service organization. “The TMG program is a very attractive way for our clients to provide their members and non-members with a versatile reloadable prepaid card.”
CO-OP has 3,500 client credit unions, according to a spokesperson. Credit unions that adopt the TMG product will sign contracts directly with TMG, which will be responsible for the sale, implementation, support and invoicing. The TMG cards are Visa-branded and can be used at ATM and point-of-sale locations.
In January 2012, a partnership between the two companies was announced, in which TMG and CO-OP would offer products under their own brands, operate independently and work within their existing management structures, yet both companies agreed to cross-sell all of their respective products and services.
