People on the Move: Meyer Malka and Elizabeth T. Ploshay, Bitcoin Foundation Board (October 2013)
Bitcoin Foundation, a nonprofit institution founded last year to promote Bitcoin use, has elected Meyer (Micky) Malka and Elizabeth T. Ploshay to its board. Malka is the founder and sole general partner of Ribbit Capital, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm. He has more than two decades of global experience in the financial services industry. He serves on the boards of Mercado Libre, eBay’s Latin American partner for e-commerce and online auctions, and Credit Karma, an online consumer resource to track financial health and credit services, among others. Ploshay is manager of communications at Bitcoin Magazine. Her background includes public policy, Middle Eastern politics and grassroots activism.
