Planet Payment Inc., a Long Beach, N.Y.-based payments processor, has appointed Carl J. Williams president. Williams, who has more than 30 years of experience in financial services, was president of worldwide payment processing at Global Payments while living in Prague and Hong Kong. He also served as divisional president of merchant services at National Processing Company, and as managing director of Pay Anywhere LLC. Williams has served as a director at Planet Payment since August 2013, and he will continue in that role.
