People on the Move: GlobalPlatform, Board of Directors

GlobalPlatform, a nonprofit organization that standardizes managing applications on secure chip technology, has announced its board of directors for fiscal year 2014, following annual elections for six of the 11 board seats. Individual members to serve as board officers for a one-year term have also been confirmed, as well as the appointment of a new mobile task force chair.
For the fourth consecutive year, Marc Kekicheff, senior business leader of chip innovation at Visa Inc., retains his position as chairman; Uwe Wittig, group vice president, mobile security business unit at Giesecke & Devrient, continues as vice chairman; and Yves Moulart, director of development and innovation at STMicroelectronics, was confirmed as secretary/treasurer.
Several board seats were open for election and the following individuals were elected to serve a two year term:
- Simon Moore, solutions architect, ARM
- Rémi de Fouchier, vice president, marketing communication, Gemalto
- Arnaud du Chéné, vice president, head of product quality, global chip and contactless solutions, MasterCard Worldwide
- Sebastian Hans, senior standardization manager, Oracle
Jon Geater, chief technology officer at Trustonic, was elected to serve a one-year term. Clif Campbell, lead member of technical staff at AT&T, has been elected chair of GlobalPlatform’s mobile task force. Germán Blanco, business leader at MasterCard, will support Campbell as vice chair to oversee the group’s efforts to capture and define the business and technical requirements of the secure mobile services ecosystem, ensuring an agreed and workable application management infrastructure is established.
