People on the Move: Chris Spinella, Joe Kaplan and Paul Rosenfeld, Electronic Transactions Association

Apriva, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based provider of wireless transactions and secure information solutions, announced that Chris Spinella, the company’s co-founder and CEO, has been selected to the Electronic Transactions Association’s (ETA) industry relations committee, effective immediately. Spinella’s responsibilities with the committee include sharing his insight and expertise to help the ETA develop and communicate a number of positions on a variety of business and compliance issues affecting the electronic payments industry and its key stakeholders.
Joe Kaplan, CEO of Total Merchant Services, was appointed to the ETA’s 2014 Presidential Advisory Council. Members of the Presidential Advisory Council have a non-voting seat on the ETA Board. Kaplan was appointed to the Presidential Advisory Council by Kim Fitzsimmons, vice chairman of Cynergy Data and ETA’s board chairman and 2014 president. Paul, vice president and general manager at Total Merchant Services, was appointed to the ETA Mobile Payments Committee for 2014. Rosenfeld will fulfill a one-year term.
