People on the Move: Elizabeth Buse, Amanda Burton and Paulette Garafalo, Monitise plc
Monitise plc has announced a series of updates to its executive leadership team and board of directors, including the appointment of Elizabeth Buse to co-CEO of Monitise Group. Buse, who also joins the company’s board of directors, will work alongside Monitise founder and CEO Alastair Lukies. Buse, a member of the Monitise board from July 2010 to October 2012, will lead Monitise’s day-to-day operations, overseeing technology, product, sales and marketing, while Lukies focuses on key relationships with partners and industry stakeholders, corporate development and major shareholders. She previously served as executive vice president of solutions at Visa Inc., running international operations. She also has served as vice president of strategic initiatives for the electronic funds division of First Data Corp.
Monitise also announced two non-executive directors to the board: Amanda Burton and Paulette Garafalo. Burton has been global chief operating officer at Clifford Chance LLP since 2010. Garafalo has been president of Brooks Brothers, international, wholesale and manufacturing, since 2010.
