Meta Financial Group Inc., holding company of MetaBank, has been included in the annual “Top 200 Community Banks and Thrifts” list in American Banker Magazine. Meta was ranked No. 68 out of approximately 7,000 banks across the country. Meta’s ranking places it in the top 1 percent of banks in the country for return on equity over the last three years. MetaBank is a federally chartered savings bank. Eleven retail banking offices and one administrative office support customers throughout northwest and central Iowa, and in Brookings and Sioux Falls, S.D.
