ACI Worldwide to Acquire ReD for $205 million (July 21, 2014)
Payment systems provider ACI Worldwide announced today it will acquire U.K.-based fraud prevention solutions provider Retail Decisions (ReD) in an all-cash purchase of $205 million. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2014. ReD’s technology and software solutions provide Naples, Fla.-based ACI with a global SaaS-based ecommerce offering with integrated fraud detection/management, according to the announcement. The global ecommerce market is projected to grow more than 17 percent each year, representing a total value of nearly $2.4 trillion by 2017, according to market research from eMarketer.
