CPI Card Group to Acquire EFT Source (Aug. 26, 2014)
Littleton, Colo.-based card producer CPI Card Group is acquiring EFT Source, a provider of card programs and personalization services for the financial payments industry. CPI Card Group said the deal, announced yesterday, provides extended capacity and expertise in card personalization and fulfillment to support the U.S. market migration to EMV. In addition, CPI will have access to EFT Source’s Card@Once instant-issuance service. In turn, the deal provides EFT Source customers with access to CPI’s portfolio of products, services and technology. EFT Source will maintain its existing facilities located in Nashville, Tenn., and Colorado Springs, Colo. The acquisition will be final Sept. 2, 2014. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
