hyperWALLET Adds Meta as Issuer (Sept. 9, 2014)
Vancouver-based payment solutions provider hyperWALLET has signed Meta Payment Systems to be its second issuing bank in the U.S. Under the agreement, Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Meta will issue corporate payments cards and facilitate ACH payments for the Paybefore Award-winning hyperWALLET platform. Commenting on the deal, hyperWALLET CEO Lisa Shields noted Meta’s familiarity with the U.S. regulatory landscape as a key aspect of the partnership. Since coming out from under an OCC consent order last month, Meta has signed several issuing partnerships, including a pact with UniRush LLC to issue a RushCard Visa-branded GPR card, and an issuing agreement with Card Limited earlier this month.
