Simple Adds Touch ID, Support for Android Wear (Sept. 18, 2014)
Electronic banking provider Simple has added support for Apple’s Touch ID and Android wearable devices. The latest version of the bank’s iOS mobile app, optimized for iOS 8, enables users to access their accounts using the Touch ID fingerprint-based security technology, eliminating the need to enter a PIN to login. Meanwhile, Simple accountholders now can receive push notifications on Android-based wearable devices, including smartwatches. When a user receives a notice, he can touch a link on the watch to open his account and access the message on his phone. Simple also has added the ability for Android customers to attach images and PDFs, such as invoice copies, to their transactions. The bank’s iOS app already included that feature.
