Cardtronics Lands ATM Management for Fresh & Easy (Oct. 9, 2014)
ATM network operator Cardtronics Inc. has been named exclusive ATM services provider for natural grocery chain Fresh & Easy. Under terms of the deal, Houston-based Cardtronics will oversee cash machines in all 167 Fresh & Easy stores, all of which are located in Arizona, California and Nevada. Cardtronics also has expansion rights to operate ATMs at future store locations. Fresh & Easy ATMs are brandable for banks and credit unions through Cardtronics’ Principal and Preferred Branding programs and are part of Cardtronics’ Allpoint Network, the largest surcharge-free network in the world, with 55,000-plus ATMs globally. Cardtronics recently has been expanding its ATM footprint within the grocery sector. In early September, the company signed a deal to operate 1,800 ATMs in Co-Operative Food Stores across the U.K.
