Cachet Targets Millennials with Apple Watch (April 21, 2015)
Attracting millennials requires a better banking experience and Apple Watch may hold the key, according to Minneapolis-based mobile money technology provider Cachet Financial Solutions, which today announced its prepaid mobile platform supports Apple Watch. Cachet’s Select Mobile Money is a cloud-based SaaS prepaid mobile platform that enables financial institutions and program managers to offer prepaid cardholders financial services in a mobile app.
“The Apple Watch, with Cachet’s easy-to-use, customized Select Mobile Money app, is likely to be well-received by this hotly pursued [millennial] demographic, which tends to be early adopters of cool, new technologies,” said Youri Bebic, Cachet senior vice president of mobile innovations. “Helping our clients to win the digital natives gives them an early mover advantage and higher lifetime value with these customers.”
Select Mobile Money users who own an Apple Watch can download the app and access financial services on the watch, such as account information, recent financial transactions and the nearest ATM or card-loading location. Cachet’s Select Mobile Money clients will be able to send personalized marketing messages to the watch to better engage with their prepaid cardholders, according to the company.
