People on the Move: Stephen Middlebrook, UniRush LLC
Prepaid program manager UniRush LLC has hired Stephen Middlebrook as general counsel and chief compliance officer. He previously served as general counsel at FSV Payment Systems and was part of the team that sold the business to U.S. Bank in December 2012. Middlebrook also was senior counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where he helped implement the Direct Express card and other payment technology for the government. He is active in the business law section of the American Bar Association and co-chairs the subcommittee on electronic payments and financial services. He also serves as an adviser to the Uniform Law Commission’s study committee on alternative and mobile payments.
