People on the Move: David Silberman, CFPB
The CFPB appointed David Silberman acting deputy director beginning Jan. 11, replacing Meredith Fuchs. Silberman currently serves as associate director for research, markets and regulations, a position he has held since 2011, and will retain in the interim. He will serve as acting deputy director while a search for a replacement is conducted. Prior to joining the CFPB in 2010, Silberman served for 12 years as general counsel and executive vice president of Kessler Financial Services, an advisory services company. He also served as deputy general counsel of the AFL-CIO, and as president and CEO of Union Privilege, a division of the AFL-CIO.
