MasterCard, SVB Select Four Startups for Accelerator Program
Four more startups have been selected for the Commerce.Innovated. program. The companies represent the fourth class chosen by MasterCard and Silicon Valley Bank as part of a program to help startups get their products and services off the ground. The companies will go through a four-month program to help refine and enhance their business ideas through access to expertise from MasterCard and Silicon Valley Bank, and their respective networks. Since the program’s inception, Commerce.Innovated. launched in 2014, and has worked with 15 commerce-focused startups.
This year’s class includes New York-based Alloy, an API for collecting and managing consumer data; Float, a California-based mobile credit provider; Nevada-based Launchkey, a next-generation mobile authentication platform; and the fourth startup is in stealth mode, according to an announcement, thus the company and product details were not given.
“This program is an important element of our engagement with local startups developing breakthrough commerce solutions,” said Stephane Wyper, vice president of startup engagement and acceleration, MasterCard. “It’s important that we support startups that are bringing fresh, creative ideas and experimenting with next generation of solutions, as they will create better experiences for our customers, partners and the entire commerce ecosystem.”
