People on the Move: Retail Gift Card Association, Board of Directors
The Retail Gift Card Association (RGCA) has elected five new members to its board of directors and appointed two current board members to executive-level positions. The closed-loop gift card trade association has named the following new board members: Tim Anderson, vice president, national sales, AMC Theatres; Lauren Haus, incentive sales and marketing manager, TJX Incentive Sales; Marina Hodges, director, treasury operations and closed-loop programs, Walmart; Jenny Jeansonne, head of retail and B2B partnerships, eBay; and Mike Strohl, director, gift cards, Sears. The new members assumed their board seats earlier this month at the RGCA’s spring member meeting, held at the All Payments Expo in New Orleans.
In addition to the new board members, RGCA has named Erin Wood, director, SUBWAY Card Program, as board treasurer. Colleen Dorwart, gift card services, senior manager, Cabela’s, has been elected vice chair for the 2016-2017 term.
“Our new class of leaders are very well-established in the industry and will help us to grow our association, becoming an even-stronger voice for closed-loop gift cards,” said Mike Pennington, executive director of the RGCA. Formed in 2008, the RGCA is comprised of 70 retailers, including some of the world’s most-recognized brands. The organization recently announced it would expand its membership to non-retail industry partners.
