NBPCA Chair Previews Hot Topics ahead of D.C. Event
Next week, prepaid industry leaders, lawmakers and regulators will converge at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Washington, D.C., for the NBPCA’s 2016 Power of Prepaid conference. The conference agenda covers the latest in prepaid legislation, regulation, compliance and business innovation, with keynote addresses from Reps. Scott Tipton (R-Colo.) and Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.), and IRS Commissioner John Koskinen.
Power of Prepaid is being co-chaired by Bob Skiba, executive vice president, InComm, and NBPCA chairman. Skiba recently sat down for a special interview to discuss some of the most important recent developments in the industry, including new prepaid use cases and target markets, the rise mobile and omnichannel commerce and the rollout of EMV—all of which are sure to be hot topics at the show. Meanwhile, in another interview Ryan Harris, senior vice president, The Bancorp, offers insights around prepaid innovation and how the CFPB’s upcoming prepaid accounts rule could affect the industry.
