People on the Move: Govind Rajan, Freecharge
India-based digital payment platform Freecharge has appointed Govind Rajan as its new CEO. Rajan joined Freecharge in August 2015 and is currently the chief operating officer. Company CEO and co-founder Kunal Shah has been elevated to the chairman position. Since being acquired in April 2015 by Snapdeal for $400 million, Freecharge has transitioned from providing online recharge services, to offering a full-fledged digital payments platform.
