People on the Move: Heather Cox, USAA
Former Citigroup fintech head Heather Cox has signed on with San Antonio-based bank USAA. In the newly created role of chief technology and digital officer for USAA, Cox will oversee areas including information technology, digital strategy and operations, and experience design for the bank. Cox will assume her new role with USAA this fall.
Most recently, Cox was CEO of Citi Fintech, where she oversaw financial services innovation in verticals including mobile and wearables. In 2015, she was named Digital Banker of the Year by American Banker, and ranked No. 7 on American Banker’s list of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking. Cox joined Citi in 2014, from Capital One.
