Company on the Move: National Merchants Association, Inc. 5000
Merchant advocacy group and services provider the National Merchants Association has been listed on the 2016 Inc. 5000 list. Published by Inc. magazine, the annual Inc. 5000 ranks the U.S. fastest-growing private companies, and was published in the September issue of Inc. The National Merchants Association ranked No. 466 on the list, with a three-year sales growth of 816 percent. It is the sixth-fastest growing financial services company in California, and the 34th fastest nationwide.
The Temecula, Calif.-based firm has grown in employee size by more than 400 percent since 2012 and in revenue by more than 800 percent over the past three years, making it one of the fastest-growing companies in the credit card processing industry. To support that growth, the company hired 67 new employees during the first half of 2016 and plans to grow its work force to more than 200 employees by the end of the year and 300 employees by the end of 2017.
