People on the Move: Safdar Khan, Mastercard
Mastercard has named Safdar Khan to the role of division president for Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei. Khan will be based in Jakarta and be responsible for leading the implementation of the company’s digital payment technologies in those markets. Khan has more than 20 years of experience in technology, banking, e-commerce and payment services and has held senior leadership positions across Asia and the Middle East at Mastercard for 10 years. His most recent position was as group country manager for Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei. Prior to joining Mastercard, Khan worked for Citibank and ABN Amro in the consumer franchise and financial services businesses in North America and Asia.
