People on the Move: Andrew Buckley, Mastercard
Andrew Buckley has been named executive vice president, global prepaid solutions at Mastercard. Buckley is based in the Purchase, N.Y., headquarters and leads the global development and execution of the payment network’s prepaid strategies, along with innovation, development and management of all Mastercard prepaid products and solutions. He also will assume product responsibility for the company’s new consumers and financial inclusion strategies.
Buckley most recently served as senior vice president of Mastercard core products in Europe, where he led regional product management of the network’s debit, credit, commercial, prepaid and loyalty solutions. Before joining Mastercard, he held various executive positions at American Express and was a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Buckley began his career in technology, M&A, sales and marketing roles with major telecoms and IT companies.
