People on the Move: Scott Pearson, American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers
Scott Pearson, a partner in the consumer financial services group at Ballard Spahr, has been named a fellow of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers. He is the ninth attorney from Ballard Spahr to be admitted to the college, which was established in 1996 to recognize attorneys for accomplishments in handling consumer financial services matters and dedication to improving consumer financial services law.
Based in Ballard Spahr’s Los Angeles office, Pearson leads the firm’s marketplace lending task force, which focuses on the representation of fintech companies and their business partners. He is widely regarded as one of the premier class action and regulatory enforcement lawyers in the U.S. He also serves as a strategic business adviser, with clients including major banks and other financial services firms, institutional investors and retailers, among others.
