UK start-up Tosca Money prepares to act
UK-based Tosca Money is looking to make a grand entrance as it readies its social savings service app for launch.
The firm, which is headquartered in Oxford, says its service is powered by a digital token to reward people for saving together.
It doesn’t offer a lot of information at the moment, but it is looking for early testers to get in touch. Its personal finance app is designed to offer a savings goal, and then invite friends, family or team members to join in.
One of the early testers comments: “It’s just like going to the gym with a friend – you always work waaay harder than on your own.”
One of Tosca Money’s co-founders is Nicolai Thomson, who has plenty of experience in the fintech and finserv space.
His career history includes working as a business development director within New Zealand-based digital services company, Spark.
In addition, in 2015, he was founder of the New Zealand Government Innovation Lab (iLab) at the Inland Revenue.
FinTech Futures contacted Thomson for more details concerning his new start-up – such as launch date and funding. He has not responded at the time of writing.
