Popular AI and blockchain project – Project PAI – holds London launch event
Have you ever wished you had a clone of yourself to help tackle a long list of to-dos or to take an early morning meeting so you can get some extra sleep?
Well, Project PAI is proposing that artificial intelligence (AI) on the blockchain can eventually work together to not only give us more control of our own digital data, but also harness that data to create Personal Artificial Intelligence, or PAI for short – digital avatars that look, sound, and behave like each individual.
The project has already seen great success around the world, launching its mainnet and github earlier this year.
In addition, it has received listings on major exchanges including Bitfinex, Huobi, and Blockfolio.

In its first foray into the UK market, the project is hosting a launch event in London on 8 September to welcome the UK community.
Based on the Bitcoin blockchain protocol, Project PAI’s blockchain has a unique structure. In addition to its own blockchain protocol, the PAI Blockchain is also connected to a torrent network which is used to facilitate data exchange. Users can send an encrypted data link when they send PAI Coin to someone, creating a way to record data exchange on the blockchain.
Project PAI considers this an important way for people to have more control of how their data is used, by creating an immutable, distributed record of data transactions. In addition to tradition miners and authenticators who act as identity verifiers, anyone who contributes their data on the PAI Blockchain can be compensated in PAI Coin.
Part of Project PAI’s success is due to its adoption by major companies and research organisations. US artificial intelligence (AI) company ObEN, specialising in personalised digital avatar technology using AI, became an early adopter in 2017 and has since contributed its own proprietary technology to the creation of PAIs on the Project PAI blockchain.
ObEN will also be in the UK the week of Project PAI’s launch event, visiting Oxford and Cambridge. The private events with look at ways leading universities can work together with enterprise and blockchain projects to find healthcare solutions that combine Personal AI and blockchain technology. This includes better health record management or using AI doctors to triage and alleviate some of the backlog on the overburdened healthcare systems worldwide.
According to organisers, demand for tickets to the UK event has been robust, and indication of the strong interest in blockchain and cryptocurrency that has pervaded the UK since Bitcoin hit record highs last year. With strong technology backing an already innovative use for blockchain, it looks like Project PAI can look forward to a warm welcome in London.
