Temenos wins new deal in Finland with Municipality Finance
Finland-based Municipality Finance (MuniFin) has selected Temenos and its flagship core banking system T24 Transact.
After what the vendor calls an “exhaustive” selection process, the Finnish firm opted for Temenos to revamp the IT infrastructure of its lending operations.
The credit firm is undergoing a digital transformation project across multiple business verticals, and Temenos’ footprint in the Finnish market helped to sway MuniFin towards the Swiss technology firm.
“We needed a strategic technology partner with robust, scalable technology to power our digital transformation,” says Rainer Holm, executive vice president at MuniFin.
“Temenos’ digital banking platform will enable us to streamline lending processes, gain greater agility and scalability, provide cost efficiencies across business and IT operations.”

Steen Jensen, managing director for Europe at Temenos, adds: “In the Nordics, and around the world, financial institutions understand the urgency to move away from legacy IT systems to modern packaged software.”
MuniFin provides market-based funding to municipalities, municipal federations, and municipality controlled organisations, as well as to non-profit housing corporations by acquiring funds from capital markets and investors.
