BNY Mellon extends Azure partnership to boost ESG investment
BNY Mellon has extended a deal with Microsoft to provide its managers with better tools to invest in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) portfolios.
The bank has also launched three new data and analytics solutions: Data Vault, Distribution Analytics, and ESG Data Analytics.
The three solutions are immediately available to with more being developed “through collaboration with clients.”
“Our clients want and need more flexibility in their cloud-based data solutions so they can remain agile to evolving market, client and regulatory changes,” says Roman Regelman, senior executive vice president at BNY Mellon.
He adds that the three new solutions can help investment managers “better manage and unlock value from their data”.
Judson Althoff, executive vice president of Microsoft’s Worldwide Commercial Business, says that the “scope and scale” of BNY Mellon’s investment data combined with Azure will “enhance data as an asset and optimise accessibility.”
Earlier this month BNY Mellon released plans for a new foreign exchange (FX) pricing and trading engine in Singapore.
The announcement is part of the bank’s strategic expansion into the Asia Pacific region.
The bank made a high profile appointment in its FX operations earlier this year when Paresh Shah stepped in as new global chief operating officer.
