The Citi Mobile Challenge has unearthed innovation and developer talent in some of the most far flung reaches of globe in a bid to get the best talent to help change the way the world banks. The challenge has already seen hundreds of developers from more than 50 countries – including, Botswana, Vietnam, Bosnia and Cyprus – throw their hat in the ring to be a part of the future of banking. Due to this enormous demand, Citi has extended its registration deadline to allow more people to take part.
Registration for the Challenge now closes on 10 March 2015, and selected participants will demonstrate their concepts at events in Nairobi on 22 April, Jerusalem on 26 April, Warsaw on 28 April, and London on 30 April. A panel of industry experts and financial technology leaders will evaluate the solutions at each event. Finalists compete for an opportunity to take their technologies into production with Citi’s support, plus a share of $100,000 in cash awards and a suite of services from Citi Mobile Challenge sponsors.
