Copenhagen Fintech opens doors
Copenhagen Fintech, a collaborative venture between the Danish Bankers Association, Financial Services Union Denmark, and the City of Copenhagen, has officially opened for business.
The organisers say it will be the first co-working space dedicated to fintech in Scandinavia. The hub has been in the making since September, building on the foundations laid by the Copenhagen Fintech Innovation and Research (CFIR) association. CFIR facilitated connections between fintech start-ups, banks, regulators and policy-makers.
Copenhagen Fintech’s CEO is Thomas Krogh Jensen. He moves from Nordea Bank, where he was head of business development and digitisation, life and pensions, for just over a year.
Financial Services Union Denmark’s Vibeke Rittmann describes Jensen as “a visionary and dynamic CEO, with the right competences and the drive that is needed to realise Copenhagen Fintech’s ambitions of establishing strong ties between entrepreneurs, the financial sector and the research world”.
