Fiserv makes some noise in Illinois with core banking tech revamp
Iroquois Federal Savings & Loan Association, a $580 million entity in the US state of Illinois, is modernising its front-to-back office technology with Fiserv.
The bank will implement Fiserv’s Premier core processing system, online and mobile banking solutions for consumers and businesses, CheckFree RXP and CheckFree Small Business for online bill payment, Popmoney for personal payments, TransferNow for account-to-account transfers and a range of card services and item processing solutions.
The bank, which once focused heavily on mortgage lending and certificates of deposit, has significantly grown its commercial portfolio in recent years.
“As we expand our markets, we need to be prepared to meet the demands of a diverse range of businesses in addition to today’s tech-savvy consumers,” says Walter Hasselbring III, president and CEO, Iroquois Federal Savings & Loan Association.
He adds that Fiserv will help the bank to “create the digital presence needed to attract business customers” and support “all types of commercial lending”.
The technology modernisation is also hoped to improve experience for retail customers.
Hasselbring cites integration between Fiserv applications and “the cohesive customer experience” of Business Online for business online banking and Mobiliti Business for business mobile banking as major factors in the decision to choose Fiserv.
